At Ca' Rezzonico, the museum of 18th Century venetian art, a rare look at the Russian art production of the last thirty years sheds light on complexities and facetings that are far from the familiar notions. Seventy works by such artists as Yuri Albert, Ivan Chuikov, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, Vitaly Komar and Alexander Melamid, Boris Orlov, Anatoly Osmolovsky, as well as Alexander Ponomarev with his "Submarine Subtiziano".
Curated by Vladimir Levashov, the show was made possible thanks to a collaboration between the Venice civic Museums and the Stella Art Foundation of Moscow, here in Venice for the 53rd biennale Art Exhibition.
