Presented by the Venice Civic Museums Foundation at the historical atelier-residence of Mariano Fortuny, this show is a tribute to one of the stars of Italian fashion. On view are some thirty dresses that illustrate the artistic evolution over the last thirty years: from the celebrated Colonna, which at the late 1970s inaugurated the era of dresses-sculpture, to the extraordinary works of the 1990s, which consecrated Capucci’s reputation in the world of art, and to the new wedding dress in flaming red Mikado silk created for this show and displayed as the exhibition opener.
Show is accompanied by works from the famous producer of design jewellery, Vhernier, offering a selecton of one-of-a-kind jewels in a prestigious matching of dresses and jewels joined by a common line of form and color.
