Venice Art Exhbitions
At the close of a season of the highest artistic quality, these shows stil represent the main dish on the city’s table. First and foremost comes from the Biennale organization, which continues to send out its spectacular parade of contemporary art exhibitions. The 52nd Biennale art Exhibition has infact been extended until Wednesday, November 21.
And so, the national pavilions, the central international show, as well as related exhibitions, are all still open for viewing at the traditional venues, the Castello Gardens and the Arsenale, and plenty of galleries around Venice. But there are other institutions offering art shows besides the Biennale. Notable exhibitions include “Venice and the Islamic World” at the Doge’s Palace (through Nov. 25); “The miracle at Cana” at the Cini Foundation; “Sequence1: Painting and sculpture in the Francois Pinault Collection” At Palazzo Grassi (through Nov. 11); “Rosso: The transient form” at the Guggenheim Collection.
