During the summertime, the Wine & Cheese Bar La Rivista offers freshly made snack selections to whet your appetite.   Those wishing something more filling may select a cold Mediterranean pasta dish or a board of Italian cold cuts and cheese. The wine list – many selections also available by the glass – includes products from different Italian regions, with a majority from the Veneto.

The design of the Wine & Cheese Bar is unique to Venice, and echoes the Art Deco & Futurist motif of the Ca Pisani Hotel in which it is located.  The floor’s polychromatic marble decoration is a floral pattern by the Futurist painter, Fortunato Depero and the bar counter is an original piece from the Forties retrieved from an old hotel in Padua. The environment is modern, yet warm and welcoming.  Banquettes in amaranth leather and the tables with a blue ‘starlight’ pattern, lighting reminiscent of Neapolitan coffee houses, and a magazine rack with design periodicals, for your enjoyment, help create a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere.

Although the interior of La Rivista is quite special, we also offer outdoor seating for those who wish to watch Venetian life pass by as they enjoy their refreshments.  La Rivista is open every day except Mondays from noon to 11 pm, to both hotel and outside guests – it is also popular with local Venetians.  We look forward to welcoming you here!
